Uncle Jim had this yellow raft that he would take us out on the Napa River when ever we visited him during the summer growing up. He would always tell me stories of how there were fresh water sharks up stream, and giant tree ticks that would drop down on us to suck our blood, and lets not forget the rabid Moose that roamed the river banks waiting to jump on any unsuspecting river enthusiast. Uncle Jim told me these stories to probably entertain himself but also I think to encourage my sense of adventure. He always promised to protect me though from any of these dangers we might encounter or any else he might think of along the way. Not only did Uncle Jim teach me to have a sense of adventure, and a good sense of humor, but he also taught me about trust.
